Mindbank Consulting Group currently has an opening for a senior Information Assurance Specialist with a strong combination of C&A and network security skills. This is a CONTRACT position in Washington - DC. Incumbent must be US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance

DESCRIPTION:

* The candidate will provide information assurance and security engineering support as part of and within a software engineering process team.
* The successful candidate will demonstrate qualifications as a systems engineer and understand the systems engineering process, scheduling, and technical management.
* Develop Information Assurance strategy for certification and self assessment.
* Manage and provide security reviews and self assessment support during the development, integration, testing, and release phases for developed system components.
* Develop security test plans and procedures.
* Configure management and change control principles and articulate the relationship to IA.
* Utilize expertise in the security engineering and assurance principles in a heterogeneous environment supporting UNIX, networking and Windows.

QUALIFICATIONS:

* Plus points for experience with real-time oprating systems and cross domain services/systems.
* Familiar with the DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process and exhibit experience with the DIACAP Implementation Plan (DIP).
* Experience with the DoD Information Assurance Security Environment provided IA and security tools including security technical implementation guidance, security readiness review checklists, and network scanning tools .
* A CISSP or similar certification is preferred.
* Must be able to work under pressure and able to prioritize work according to daily work load changes.
