Job Title: SQL DBA
Location: Rockville, MD

SUMMARY: This position will serve as the DBA for the company's production and development databases and processes.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Monitor performance for databases, cubes and reports
• Monitor daily, weekly, semi-monthly and monthly SQL server agent jobs
• Create new reports in Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 Business Intelligence Development Studio
• Schedule reports using subscription in SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services.
• Serve as the point of contact for issues that pertain to the company's reporting system (Lynx)
• Create ad-hoc reports
• Troubleshoot end-users, queries and processes
• Develop SSIS packages via Business Intelligence Development Studio
• Maintain the integrity of the data within the Lynx reporting system
• Ensure the availability of all data and reports for the day to day reporting needs of internal and external clients.
• Enforcing all policies, procedures and rules as they apply to database security and integrity.
• Perform other duties as necessary


QUALIFICATIONS:

• B.S. in CS, MIS, or Engineering
• Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or 2008
• Business Intelligence Development Studio
• SSIS & SSRS
• Crystal Reports
• Data Warehouse experience
• Demonstrated ability to write complex SQL queries and develop stored procedures
• SSAS (a plus)
• MDX querying (a plus)
