BCS has been asked to identify a highly talented and skilled team of Hardware Field Engineers for one of our top clients based in Ashburn, VA. This team will travel to client locations throughout the U.S. for project and install and upgrade equipment and act as first level support for the locations. Travel for this team will be 80%.

Scope of work:
• Installs, modifies and makes minor repairs to systems delineated in this project and provides technical assistance and training to system end users.
• Software - Knowledgeable in the Windows 2000/2003 Operating System environments and 2000/XP Workstation) and Oracle RDBMS, used in both the client and server portions of the RAPIDS/DBIDS/ACTUR applications.
• Diagnose end-user reported problems by working with the end user to resolve the problem, calling warranty trouble tickets in to the vendor, or assisting in shipping parts back to manufacturers.
• Repairs will be complete with on-site support through warranty or by end-user.
• Respond for the purposes of diagnosing, trouble shooting, and if possible repairing on the spot.
• Maintaining working knowledge of IP, hubs, routers, modems, and other telecommunications protocols, hardware, software.

Required:

• US Citizenship
• Must be able to pass a background investigation
• 5 or more years of technical IT experience.
• 3 or more years experience in installing hardware, communications components, and cabling, and software.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP connectivity between clients and servers
