Location: US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), Ft. Belvoir, VA

Description/Duties:
Unix Systems Administrator for a PL4 cross-domain multi-level database system at Army INSCOM. Will be a member of the operations support team, providing information assurance (IA) services on multiple networks. Certification and Accreditation (C&A) activities are of extreme importance with this project.
• support incident response with intrusion detection, analysis reporting
• track critical system security updates • routine log analysis, event correlation. provide reports to the customer
• provide recommendations to management on system and process improvements
• provide recommendations to management and development team on security support structure improvements
• prepare updates to Certification and Accreditation documentation, including test plans, SOPs, and CONOPs
• perform vulnerability assessments

Qualifications:
• Bachelors degree
• At least 3 years focusing on information systems security within the Department of Defense (preferably the intelligence community)
• Unix/Linux operating systems
• experience with Department of Defense Certification and Accreditation process, DCID6/3
• hands-on experience with security scanning (Retina, Harris STAT, SRRs, etc), log analysis, and penetration testing tools

Preferred Additional Skills:
• Training or experience as a ISSO/IASO, ISSE, IAO, or IAM
• Professional certifications (CISSP, CCNA, MCSE, SSCP)
• Any additional SANS certifications
• knowledge of networking a plus
• Oracle Database security review
