We are assisting our client company in filling a strategic, senior role on their Information Technology team. The Data Center Chief will be responsible for all aspects of managing of our client company's data centers across multiple locations.

Responsibilities:
• Sets strategy and provides leadership for operational support of multiple data centers.
• Manage a team of experienced technology professionals at all levels.
• Provide capacity plans and align strategic goals with company objectives.
• Implement and adhere to best practices across the data centers.
• Oversees day-to-day group activity for supporting multiple data centers. Activities include: cable and power plans, appropriate physical locations of equipment and building out servers from an OS perspective.
• Consistently ahead of the curve in terms of data center security and utilization.
• Plan, budget, and implement all requirements.
• Ensure budgets represent current and future growth to stay ahead of demand curves.
• Manage hardware and facilities relationships for disaster recovery.
• Minimal travel. Travel for this job is under 15%.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 8 years experience managing medium to large multi-location data centers
• 5 - 8 years experience managing a technical team
• BA/BS degree preferred
• Proven team building, leadership and mentoring skills needed
• Team player with excellent coaching skills required
