VB.NET Programmer
HLP Solutions has partnered up with one of the strongest Electrical Manufactors in the Industry. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, responsible self-starter who is able to work under general supervision. As a Software Developer, the individual will need to effectively collaborate with the team lead, users and floor managers to develop core software and web based systems in accordance with project goals and requirements. Experience in developing compliant desktop applications and web applications using VB.NET, SQL, ASP.NET, JavaScript, HTML, CSS and databases is a requirement. General knowledge of computer systems, office applications and operating systems is helpful. Knowledge of older Unisys mainframes is also helpful.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+ years developing applications in ASP.NET (VB.NET preferred)

• 3+ years working with relational databases (SQL Server).

• Experience in designing standards based web applications is helpful(CSS / XHTML / Accessibility Compliance)

• Strong written & oral communication skills

• Experience with participating in proposal writing and technical documentation stages of projects

• This is a 90-day contract-to-hire position. No H-1 B's will be considered. Pay is $32-48K.
