We're looking for the best of the geeks out there to come play with some of the latest and greatest technology: Java/J2EE, Spring, MVC, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, AJAX, Velocity, Eclipse RCP, ANT/Maven, JPA, Tomcat, Weblogic, Websphere, Oracle, MySQL, etc. You'll be working with some pretty cool tools in an agile development environment and with smart people who love debating, challenging the status quo, and complex customer requirements.
What can you expect in the Principal's position?

We've got grand plans and want you to be part of it. Principals are the “player-coaches” on our highly-skilled Professional Services teams. To the client, the Principal is a source of expertise and confidence. They develop long-term relationships at multiple levels of the client organization, from project inception and scoping through execution, and ongoing support. They learn the client's business and drive Elastic Path's resources to maximize client return. To their team, the Principal delivers clarity, vision, mentorship, and roadblock removal. They are ultimately responsible for their client's satisfaction and for the gross margin delivered by their team to Elastic Path.
Once you join our team, you will be accountable for achieving realistic yet challenging goals:
• Lead customer consulting work. Typically, this comprises two to three small engagements, or one to two work streams of two large engagements at a time.
• Collaborate with the client and Business Analysts to define project scope, approach, resourcing, project plans, value proposition, and other assumptions. Prepare RFP responses, proposals, and statements of work (SOW).
• Provide leadership for customer projects. Conduct customer learning workshops/events when appropriate.
• Deliver key project components. Report status and raise issues on a timely basis. Utilize extended Elastic Path resources effectively (sales, sales engineering, product development, product support, marketing, etc.).
• Actively grow Professional Services business by increasing sales of Elastic Path Software products and services. Create compelling proposals, present with authority, and manage complex multi-party sales situations. Participate in and contribute to company thought leadership events.
• Participate in talent acquisition and retention activities. Conduct interviews as required. Document interviews and contribute to overall recruiting decisions. Engage in regular one-on-one meetings with each project team member and provide input to the talent review process.
• Contribute to knowledge capital within Elastic Path. Capture knowledge capital from each engagement. Proactively share own expertise.

Required Qualifications:
• Demonstrated consulting expertise and customer excellence (minimum of five years in customer facing consulting required).
• Experience designing system architecture solutions and defining logical process flow solutions for customers with a minimum of 2 years mentoring in this position.
• Ability and desire to learn rapidly.
• Willingness and ability to take on new challenges on a frequent basis.
• Strong understanding of ecommerce and web integration principles or other integration experience at the enterprise level.
• University degree preferably in Computer Science, MIS or Business.
• Exceptional communication skills with executive and C-level constituents (facilitation, conflict resolution, oral and written presentation skills).
• Proven ability to innovate and structure complex solutions within the context of web development.
• Accomplished in planning and management of detailed project plans and diverse teams.
• Proficient with model processes, scenarios, business and workflow knowledge, functional requirements and design specifications.
• Willingness to travel to client sites and sales prospects as required.
