Job Overview:

Our goal is to continue to expand our overall awareness and online presence through a combination of Internet marketing techniques including: search engine optimization, pay-per-click management, social media management, and banner and advertiser management. Working closely with the Dir. of Marketing and Sales as well as other senior level staff members, you will be responsible for analyzing and assessing current Internet marketing statistics and results, developing and executing new strategies, and providing weekly reports on improvements. Your progress will be measured by metrics including:
• Increased organic search results for targeted keyword phrases,
• Improved click through rates for Google Adwords, banners, and other pay per click mediums.
• Improved quality score for Google landing pages
• Improved conversion rates from landing page to request for quote
• Increased high quality link popularity based on external links
• Improved social media presence, and following
To achieve results in the above metrics you will be required to achieve a deep understanding of the web hosting industry as whole and sub categories. Normal methods of SEM may not always apply to this highly technical, specific industry so understanding the customer as well as products and services is essential. Applicants that demonstrate that they currently have knowledge of the web hosting industry, have experience in the web hosting industry, or have demonstrated that they have done extensive research into the industry, will be strongly preferred.
Specific Qualifications:
Google Adwords Certified professional:
-Minimum 3 years of experience managing larger Google Adwords budgets in excess of $50k/month
-Experience with testing and fine tuning ad copy and other techniques to improve CTR on Google ads
-Experience and deep understanding of how to optimize campaigns to reduce cost-per-click while increasing ad position.
-Google site optimizer experience to set up A/B test campaigns based on conversions rates
-Experience and understanding of the Google banner and other media advertising within the Adwords interface
-Experience with Google Analytics, and ability to set up proper reporting methods based on predefined metrics
-Expert knowledge in techniques to improve CTRs, quality score, and conversions
Search Engine Optimization:
-Proven verifiable results in improving SERPs for high value, targeted keywords
-Internal and external link development
-Page rank channelling
-On-page optimization elements such as:
-title tag and meta tag development
-keyword density optimization
-W3C compliance
-Use of CSS and clean code to maximize readability by bots
-Off-page elements such as:
-RSS feeds and fresh content
-analysis and assessment of potential external link vendors/partners
-keyword anchor text implementation
Social Media Management:
-knowledge and experience with various social media platforms to create buzz, and high quality links and cross linking structures including:
-Digg
-Business wire
-Ability to write and post relevant articles pertaining to the web hosting and related industries to develop followings
-Knowledge of how to integrate social media platforms for internal customer facing control panels, blogs and wikis
Banner Campaign Management:
-knowledge of the most widely used banner management campaign software such as double-click's DART
-ability to set up, manage, and improve banner campaigns via banner management software
-knowledge and experience with advanced retargeting campaigns such as Fetchback, and Revenue Science
Candidates that have knowledge of the web hosting industry, dedicated servers, managed hosting, load balancing, firewalls, clustering, and databases will be strongly preferred.
