Must be US Citizen because a clearance will be needed.

The CLIENT is seeking assistance in the development and deployment of their "System". The "System's" functionality comprises capturing and managing data that is critical to the client's massive and fluid law enforcement tracking needs. This system provides client's employees the information they require to perform many of their duties, and is also integrated with other law enforcement agencies to provide critical information sharing.

CLIENT is currently in the process of improving the functionality of "THE SYSTEM" and deploying that functionality through the future releases.

NEED:

Looking for strong software development skills and practices in Java Enterprise Edition (J2EE), system integration, and database management. These skills will allow for the effective development and maintenance of the software throughout the duration of the contract.

TASKS:

1) Server and client side Java development
2) Software remediation and resolution
3) Effective documentation of software code and code assets
4) Development of reports and interfaces to "the system", through standard reporting tools (such as Business Objects) or XML
5) Database and Linux administration of "the system" and/or PTS related servers, to potentially include database and operating system patching
6) Effective communication of issues and status with the project management team
7) Data Cleansing and Conversion
8) Unit Testing and unit test documentation

Experience:

Must have four at least 4 years of technical experience with the tools and skills identified. Ability to apply analytical and evaluative techniques to problems. Basic knowledge of project management and client interactions.
