The Software Configuration and Release Analyst is dedicated to software configuration documentation, test/development lab configurations, and software release and deployment of client's proprietary technologies.
Job Description:

Adheres to source code control policy and standard operating procedures
Executes/ensures the backups of source code for all client's proprietary technology
Executes application compiles/builds for all client's proprietary technology
Participates in software release and deployments for all client's proprietary technology
Creates and maintains configuration models and configuration management databases
Adheres to Lab policy and standard operating procedures
Adheres to release and deployment policy and standard operating procedures
Manage all defect tracking software systems
Serve as a backup for the Configuration and Release team members
Continually analyze and prepare proposals for procedure improvements as related to source code management, application builds, test/development lab management, and release and deployment management
Assist with special projects as assigned or required
Serve as a backup for the Configuration and Release team members


Qualifications

6+ years of Configuration and Release Analyst experience plus must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
6+ years in object oriented programming environments and formal education in object oriented programming (Visual Basic, C#, C++, Dot Net, etc.)
6+ years of experience with source code compiles, application builds, and deployment
6+ years of experience with source code management, branching, merging, and versioning,
6+ years of experience with Visual Source Safe
2+ years with TFS (Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Server). Most of code resides in Microsoft TFS so this is important.
5+ years of experience with configuring IIS/WCF services.
5+ years of experience with T-SQL and Microsoft SQL server 2000/2005 objects.
3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server configuration.
Lead experience is highly preferred
3+ years of experience with VM Ware Lab manager is preferred
3+ years of working with ITIL is preferred.
Very strong communication: Verbal and Written is essential - does not need to be US Citizen but 10 of 10 on communication and comprehension.
Well verse in the Software development life cycle (design, code, source control, quality assurance, and deployment)
Self motivated, exceptional organizational skills, multitasking capabilities, and ability to focus on complex details
Ability to work well within a team and project environment
Ability to work under pressure on a number of different projects simultaneously
Commitment to keeping abreast of technology and sharing that knowledge with others
