We are seeking an Interaction Design Team Leader with extensive interactive experience and a well-rounded experience design background to join our fun, dynamic, hardworking and talented team. You will manage and mentor the Interaction Design team and help to direct the experience design of the Snapfish website & multi-channel customer experiences, ensuring those experiences are useful, usable and desirable for the customer as well as profitable for the business. The ideal candidate will have several years of interactive design leadership experience, a thorough understanding of information architecture/user experience and proven management capabilities.


Responsibilities:

Establish the overall strategy and approach for interaction design, design planning, user testing, best practices, standards, guidelines and processes for Snapfish's Internet properties
Structure, maintain and deliver interaction design consistency across all our software design efforts
Exceed partner objectives and expectations on project assignments while maintaining site experience objectives
Evaluate the scope of projects-making assessments and assumptions regarding the scope of effort required from the User Experience team
Provide mentoring, day-to-day feedback, problem-solving assistance, performance reviews and goal setting documentation for all interaction designers
Help design the functional aspects of the user experience, collaborating both with the other user experience disciplines as well as site and product management for worldwide websites, to create an engaging customer experience that drives the business.
Act as a key advisor to the Executive Producer, and occasionally directly to Senior Team on issues related to customer experience
Assist the Executive Producer in creating an internal User Experience review and QA process that is thorough and adhered to
Develop dashboards to communicate results of designs, page templates, and flows in order optimize & learn for new product development

Qualifications:

8+ years professional software interaction design experience, including at least 3 years leading Interaction Design teams
Expert practical and theoretical knowledge of and personal experience with the key interaction design and information architecture activities, particularly for public-facing website applications
Experience in leveraging Web-based design technologies to produce complex and effective Internet applications
Demonstrated understanding of how to create and maintain scalable and consistent Web-based application(s)
Demonstrated experience of successful collaboration with multi-functional User Experience teams as well as diverse Business and Technology partners
Excellent writing and verbal skills, strong communicator in one-on-one, large audience and Executive team situations
Demontrated ability to supervise, train and mentor employees, to include organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignments
Passionate, energetic and highly motivated to help a company win in a very competitive, dynamic and fast-paced environment
Bachelor's Degree in graphic design, interaction/digital design, or other communications design-related field preferred
