Systems Engineering Services (SESC) is a consulting company that hires our candidates as permanent, full-time employees and sends them out on different projects. SESC is searching for a Developers with 5+ years of J2EE Development experience -- within a Mobile space to work in Atlanta, GA. The ideal candidate is an individual that can research new technologies and problem domains and make recommendations about both the feasibility of implementations and suggested methods of implementation.

Responsibilities:
This position involves performing research and development work to support the development of products. This requires an individual with a very flexible skill set as the work to be performed from one R&D project to another may vary widely. The work will generally involve developing software systems that enable mobile devices to perform financial and commerce related functionality. This position requires an individual with the ability to develop server side applications, mobile web applications, and mobile downloadable applications.

Skills/Experience:
Candidate needs to be able to demonstrate experience with a breadth of technologies.
• Strong problem solving and research skills required.
• J2EE Web applications
• Soap and Web services
• Database (Hibernate and Oracle preferred)
• SQL
• Agile development methodologies

Three to five years experience with software development.

One or more of the following mobile platforms:
• iPhone
• BlackBerry
• Android
• J2ME
• BREW

Experience in the following industries a plus:
• Financial
• Merchant
• Wireless
• Cryptography
• POS terminals
• Smart Cards
• RFID
• Barcodes
• PERL
• Jython
• Groovy
• Server administration (Linux, app server, database)
