Education Technology Services, an educational support unit of Information Technology Services, is searching for a qualified candidate to serve as an instructional designer at Penn State Schuylkill to assist faculty to integrate Penn State's course management system, ANGEL, into their courses. This person will help faculty learn to use ANGEL, integrate the use of ANGEL, Web 2.0, and other education technologies into their courses, and assist in pedagogical enhancements both for online and hybrid courses. He/she will also serve as a referral to other instructional resources within the Penn State system. This job will be filled as a level 1, level 2, or level 3, depending upon the successful candidate's education and experience. Minimum educational and work-related requirements are: Master's degree in instructional systems, learning design, adult education or related field experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Candidates should be knowledgeable about instructional pedagogy in an online and hybrid course delivery environment, be able to create examples spanning several courses, create faculty development sessions, and meet development and delivery deadlines. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are required. Instructional designers also participate in a variety of program and design teams and special research projects.
