This is for my direct client opening for Power Electronics Engineers - Linthicum, MD. This is a 3 Months Contract position. The Hourly rate is DOE.



Project Description:

-Perform as a technical contributor on a major program involving power electronics system and detailed design.

-Must be able to make overall system architecture tradeoffs and decisions, as well as perform detailed power electronics design -- including selection of switching components, loss calculations, cooling system design, magnetics design, and simulation.

-Must be well versed in inverter design for 440VAC systems.

-Experience with other power conversion electronics, including DC/DC converters, motor drives, and AC/DC active rectifiers is a plus.

-Power levels are in the 10s of kilowatts to megawatts.

Work Experience/Requirements:
-Proficiency in MatLab, Simulink.
-Minimum of BSEE in power electronics. MSEE or PhD in power electronics a plus.
-Minimum of 5 years of directly relevant technical experience.
-Inventions and papers in this field are desirable.
-US citizenship desirable.

-Active SECRET level security clearance a plus.
