Kelly IT Resources is currently looking for a Oracle Database Administrator in the Corporate headquarters of our corporate client in Jeffersonville, IN. The Oracle Database Administrator will be responsible for installing, configuring, and the design of corporate Oracle databases. Duties include diagnosing Oracle system problems and installing the critical operating system patches. The ODA works closely with the Application staff in the development of all Oracle data structures to support the business needs. The ODA also ensures the Oracle systems are kept secure by performing duties as stated in the Work Plan.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Administers the creation and use of corporate data to ensure the stability and integrity of all Oracle databases. The Oracle Database Administrator works closely with the development staff in the creation of all data structures and is the final authority for any Oracle objects moved to production. Coordinates with the project leaders and the senior analysts during system design to ensure data consistency and accuracy in the Oracle environment. Reviews and provides final authorization for all data structure updates and PL/SQL that is moved to production. Reviews all Oracle code for the most efficient access techniques. Responsible for regulatory (SOX?etc) data compliance for Oracle Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Demands: BS in Information Technology or related field. 10 plus years of experience installing, and utilizing Oracle database. 8 plus years of Oracle database design experience. 8 plus years of Oracle PL/SQL experience. Oracle certification preferred. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication and presentation skills. Ability to function effectively in a team environment where sharing information is critical. Professional demeanor with excellent customer service skills with the ability to multitask. Must be able to perform essential functions of the job in a normal office environment, get on board motorized vessel or shipyard. Ability to travel.

Existing Systems & Technology: Identifies redundant functionality in the firm's enterprise footprint and recommends ways to retire and/or consolidate systems. Prepares recommendations on system and platform changes to minimize risk of downtime of existing systems.

Emerging Technologies: Coordinates training of self and peers in the use of new technologies implemented to assure successful implementations. Champions new technology strategies with the business to ensure adoption.

Design and Develop Business Solutions: Evaluates potential impacts of design decisions on ACL IT universe and communicates impacts to team members, peers, and management. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of cross-functional business processes and maps those to system touch points to validate solutions.
