Startup Staffing is working to fill key positions for our client, a major multinational electronics corporation with offices in Nashua, NH. We have an immediate opening for a Senior Software Engineer., who will be responsible for the development of our next generation of host based products. This will involve designing new solution and writing functional specifications. The candidate is expected to do full time hands on programming which includes implementing, maintaining and unit testing new and existing features on Microsoft Windows AND Linux platforms.

Qualifications

Required (Must Have) Skills and Experience (5+ years):

1. Expert C++ Developer with storage or networking background.
2. Demonstrable senior level experience in working on windows and Linux platforms.
3. Strong knowledge of object oriented design, data structures & multi-threading.
4. Ability to interact with kernel objects, file system and core OS components.
5. Experience in implementing client server applications, managing remote clients and file sharing.
6. Understanding of security & permission issues on both platforms.

Experience with any three of following is a big plus:

1. Strong understanding of SNMP with solid implementation experience.
2. Hands on experience with SMIS.
3. In depth experience with Oracle or MS SQL Server database.
4. Working with MS SharePoint Infrastructure.
5. Understanding of .NET framework, Windows Forms Applications & .NET Remoting.
6. Understanding of .NET & COM interactions on windows platform.

2. A team player who can share and learn from others, but at the same time be able to work very independently.
3. Strong communications skills including both written and oral are required
