Answers Media is Chicago's largest and most advanced video facility. We deliver best-in-class video content to the web, and we're looking for a web development apprentice.

The ideal applicant for this position is extremely detail-oriented, excited by emerging web trends and is pursuing a career in web development. Your portfolio should demonstrate strong typographical skills and respect for the importance of communication in all design projects.

Candidate Overview:
The ideal candidate will be a senior-level college student majoring in web development and/or web design or a recent graduate (within the last year). This individual will be expected to demonstrate deadline adherence, attention to detail, punctuality, reliability and a willingness to work and learn.

Required:
- Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Flash, Dreamweaver
- General knowledge of web technologies and how they impact development
- Punctuality
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent detail orientation
- Knowledge of ASP and PHP
- Light programming capabilities - XML, RSS, Java Script, etc.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Desired:
- Flex capabilities
- ActionScript capabilities
- Web analytics (Omniture Site Catalyst, Lime Light, etc)

Responsibilities Overview:
- Loading of meta-data via proprietary CMS
- Layout and production of web pages and print materials
- Execute directed fact finding and information gathering on the healthcare web space
- Other task as needs arise
- Conduct Quality Assurance of ATV and affiliate sites

Scheduling:
This position requires daily attendance at AnswersMedia. The length of engagement is the duration of the fall semester, or roughly 15 weeks. Work hours are 8:30-5pm with flexibility possible if needed.
