The SAN Engineer is responsible for the architecture and development of the production environment. Working with the operations staff to insure the storage is supportable, scalable, while also developing sound performance tuning, backup and recoverability of all production storage systems.

*Maintain and administer multiple storage arrays including physical configuration and monitoring.
*Advanced knowledge of redundant, mission critical NAS solutions for both CIFS and NFS.
*Design, deploy, and tune the DB clustered environments. Recommend tuning changes as appropriate.
*Work closely with operations and the Oracle, SQL DBAs to optimize DB performance.
*Design, implement, and maintain backup/restore data recovery schemes for DB and all production systems. Includes SNAPVIEW, replication, and tape library with off site storage. Test is required to insure recoverability.
*Advanced Unix skills including scripting for development of tools to properly monitor and report error conditions, ability to use OS level tools to diagnose I/O performance.
*on call rotation duties for this position.
*Proactively address capacity planning such that storage requests are fulfilled in a timely manner.
*Remain current on all storage technologies. Make recommendations on new technologies that may be leveraged to meet production stability and recovery needs.

7+ yrs of related experience required including SAN Engineer experience + legally able to work in the US without ever needing sponsorship + BS in CS or related Technical field.
