We are in need of Candidates for the position below:
Position : GIS/Java Developer
Location: Renton,VA

Description:
Selection Criteria:
Required:
• Must be a US Citizen and clearable to a DOD Secret level, existing DOD Secret clearance a plus
• At least 8 years of professional experience developing software, preferably web-based, in a team environment
• At least 8 years of design, develop and maintenance of complex, web-based GIS applications
• At least 8 years of experience and proficiency with the following technologies and languages:
o ESRI ArcGIS technologies, including ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, and ArcObjects
o Java/J2EE, JavaScript
o HTML, CSS, DHTML
o SQL
o Oracle
• Thorough knowledge of design patterns and software development best-practices
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• BS or MS Degree in Computer Science or related discipline

Optional but helpful:
• Experience in RUP software methodology
• Database table design and implementation
• Experience with Rational Rose or Visio to create technical documentation
o UML
o Web Services
o Object Oriented Analysis, Design and Programming
o XML Process Definition Language- XPDL
o Java Workflow Process Editor- JAWE

Job Description:
• Design and implement software applications including web applications.
• Work with software engineers as well as business and product departments to develop and write application systems and programs.
• Testing of each solution in appropriate QA environment, adhering to departmental standards, policies and procedures, to ensure proper performance and efficiency guidelines are met.
• Performs all tasks and completes projects based upon an extensive knowledge of the software development life cycle.
• Obtains and maintains a working knowledge of operating systems and hardware used by the Development groups, and systemic relationships with outside service providers and designers.
• Documents programs in accordance with development standards and procedures. Create and/or modify current documentation.
Other projects/duties as assigned
• Participates in application support as needed.
Clearance:
