Summary: This is a permanent position with the client must be US Citizen you will be working with the DOD.

POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for an experienced PHP Developer to work on a leading edge PHP implementation for our company which is experiencing significant growth.
This position is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of client applications. The individual will work both independently and as part of the development team. Position requires the ability to establish task timelines and track against project plans and guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES
* Develop and maintain PHP based applications providing significant hands on development using PHP 4.x, Javascript, HTML and XML technologies
* Participates on project teams, doing application analysis, development and modifications
* Participate in design discussions and contribute to enterprise-wide technology decisions (e.g., appropriate technology choice, approach, process, etc.)
* Makes complex modifications to existing software applications and modules in accordance with high-level specifications, application support, and industry standards.
* Implements unit tests, participates in system and integration testing with cross business applications.
* Assist team in defining, documenting and managing Client applications, application processes and application functionality
* Assist other support resources in the administration and support of existing or future applications and systems


QUALIFICATIONS
* Solid web-site development experience with PHP in a multi-tiered environment.
* Strong HTML, JavaScript (AJAX a plus) and CSS development experience
* Solid experience integrating PHP with database layers
* Knowledge of UNIX and Apache are required
* Proven experience developing high-traffic, high-availability professional B2B and B2C web sites
2+ years server-side web development in PHP 4.x or 5.x & JavaScript required
* Minimum 2 years of full life-cycle development implementing enterprise level systems
* PHP development with OOP, XML, and Smarty is a plus
* Good hands-on working knowledge of SQL & SQL Navigator or similar tool is a plus
* Ability to produce clearly written and documented code
* Must be able to strive and perform at a consistently high level in a demanding, fast-paced environment and display a "can do" attitude at all times.
* Superior oral and written communication skills
