The Pentagon's Public Affairs division for the Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense is seeking a Help Desk Analyst (Level 1-2). Successful candidate will be a team-player who can also work independently.

Active Secret Clearance Required
The Help Desk Analyst shall have at least two (2) years experience with Windows 2000 and 2003 and Mac OS X, workstation applications, and experience with hardware and software inventory management, controls and reporting. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring the operational system; answering Help Desk calls & emails; monitoring & supporting data flow; basic system troubleshooting, and user account management. The candidate should be willing to learn new things, and be able to work in a team environment.
Required skills, expertise, and/or experience:
• Microsoft Windows 2000 and/or 2003, Active Directory and Mac desktop environments
• Strong troubleshooting skills related to application software, especially the MS Office suite, and workstation hardware, and local-area networks
• Strong troubleshooting skills related to application software, especially the MS Office suite, and workstation hardware, and local-area networks
• Experience with Remedy or equivalent IT Service management system
• A+ and/or Network+ Certified
• Macintosh Troubleshooting
• Two of four years supporting Active Directory based windows platforms
• Strong communication skills
Must be capable of balancing and prioritizing numerous assignments and support projects
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills interacting with civilian military, and other contractor personnel.

Desired skills, expertise, and/or experience:
• Security + Certification
• Experience troubleshooting CAC or RAS
• Experience performing backups and utilizing imaging software
