Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Senior Analyst Programmer. Highly self-motivated and technically adept, the incumbent will join the Portal Services team in the Mayo Clinic Global Products and Services division and design, implement and support interactive, Web-based applications and services. Other key functions include supporting the monitoring and maintenance of multiple websites and helping team members architect applications for patient, employee and medical professional portals.

Minimum requirements include a Bachelor's degree and 3 years' professional software development experience; or Associate's and 5 years; or 9 years of relevant experience. Candidates must possess 3-5 years' experience with Java and in Web application development, plus hands-on knowledge of WAS and Websphere Portal version 5 or 6. Other areas of technical competence include data modeling/design on enterprise-level DB, SQL, JavaScript; HTML and CSS; SML/XSLT; TCO/IP networking protocols and security, Web services; NT and UNIX system tools/utilities; object-oriented design/development. Initiative, the ability to work independently with minimal direction and strong decision-making and communication skills are critical. Preferred candidates will also have experience with at least one framework (i.e., Spring or Struts) and/or rich Internet application development.
