Sony Creative Software, a subsidiary of Sony Corporation of America, has the following position available:

Position description: Software Developer
Location: Madison, Wisconsin

The Software Developer is responsible for designing and developing Sony Creative Software desktop media applications. This position requires technical expertise and the ability to work closely with other team members. Multiple positions are available based on skill level and experience- Software Developer, Senior Software Developer, and Principal Software Developer.

Key Responsibilities:
* Play an integral technical role in the planning and execution of state-of the art software applications.
* Collaborate on the design, coding and maintenance of intuitive user interfaces for next generation software products
* Work with other team members and to create maintain a consistent look, feel, and workflow between companion Sony software applications
* Complete assigned development activities in a professional and high quality manner

Education/Experience:
* Degree in computer science is highly desirable
* 5 plus years of developing commercial software applications
* C++, & .NET fluency
* Proven record of completing projects on-time and to specification
* Expert-level digital media editing/authoring experience (user or developer) highly desirable

Skills/Assets:
* Experience with .NET, C/C++, C#, Perforce, Visual Studio, Python,
* Extensive experience in interface design and implementation
* Project estimating, architecture and design documentations skills
* Must be able to work effectively on multiple tasks with multiple deadlines
* An innovative individual, a creative thinker with strong problem solving and analytical skills
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
