PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing technical leadership for the system level verification of a new enterprise storage solution. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, an in-depth understanding of storage systems and track record of leading successful software test programs.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science
• 10+ years of software test experience
• Experience in testing enterprise grade applications and/or web applications in a UNIX/Linux environment including: TCP/IP networking, distributed architecture, multi process/thread programming and GUI interface development.
• Domain experience in enterprise storage systems including:
o Storage virtualization
o Distributed systems
o Policy management

RESPONSIBILITIES
The following responsibilities exemplify the type and level of accountability held by this position:
• Establish the overall test strategy and plan for PolarBlue products from a technical perspective
• Work with the PolarBlue design team to ensure testability is designed into the product
• Develop test plans and procedures; execute test cases when appropriate
• Develop test scripts, test automation tools or test suites
• Oversee all aspects of test development, execution and reporting
• Plan and coordinate the activities of the software test team
• Establish and lead appropriate quality practices
• Troubleshoot and try to resolve/reproduce problems when appropriate

CORE COMPETENCIES
• In-depth knowledge of enterprise storage solutions and virtualization technologies
• Significant industry experience with software testing including:
• Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux, TCL, distributed and/or client/server systems
• Scripting languages e.g. Perl, Python
• Experience in testing distributed systems
• In-depth knowledge of test automation techniques and technologies
• Demonstrated leadership in identifying critical issues and driving to solutions
• Strong communication skills and team skills
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
