FamilyLink.com is looking for a seasoned Vice President of Engineering to join our team. We operate the largest and fastest-growing family-related social network, which includes "We're Related", the fifth largest Facebook application. “We're Related” has more than 40 million registered members, more than 14 million active monthly users, and more than 200 million relationships established by our members and their family members. We currently represent more than 200 million ad impressions per month, and are growing quickly. FamilyLink.com is pre-IPO, profitable and venture backed.

What you need:

* Strong experience in developing highly scalable web products
* Working experience in building a technical road map for an emerging technology or new media company
* Excellent understanding of technical management
* Experience working with senior management of a new media, Web or technology based company or a successful start up team
* Strong background with open source technology (Linux, Apache, MYSQL Preferred)
* Experience with managing a budget, timelines and product releases
* Bachelors in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field


What is preferred:

* Experience with cloud platforms, API definition, platform creation, development communities
* Someone coming from a brand name social network, Web 2.0, or search company
* MBA


What you'll be doing:

* Developing highly scalable web products
* Building technical road map and strategies for short and long term growth
* Technical product management
* Managing a team
* Taking ownership of the products that you are developing
