Oracle Advanced Customer Services (ACS) delivers expert-level Support Services remotely and at the customer site. These services help customers with managing and maintaining their Oracle environments, allowing for more proactive service and problem avoidance. Advanced Customer Services lets customers plan for system maintenance and enhancements, helping them to not only prevent problems but also to minimize risk.


Working onsite at large Oracle Canada customers your responsibilities will include:· Acting as a liason between Oracle Support and the Customer· Following up on technical issues and assisting in technical problem resolution· Providing guidance on proper product use and functionailty· Researching internal Oracle repositories and providing proactive advice to the customer to prevent problems· Monitoring TARs and Bugs, and following-up


As an Advisory Systems Analyst, you are expected to be an expert member of the problem-solving/avoidance team and must be highly skilled in solving extremely complex (often previously unknown), critical customer issues. Performing the assigned duties with a high level of autonomy and reporting to management on customer status and technical matters on a regular basis, you will be expected to work with very limited guidance from management. Further, the Advisory Systems Analyst is sought by customers and Oracle employees to provide expert technical advice.


Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Because of substantial customer interfacing, a demonstrated ability to work with customers on an independent basis with exceptional communication skills, while consistently achieving the absolute highest levels of customer satisfaction. Preferred Qualifications: Both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience 8 years related experience prior to taking this position. In addition, experience with Oracle's core products, applications, and tools.



Specific skills for this position include:· Strong Oracle BEA skills including indepth technical understanding of the middletier, including performance tuning, and troubleshooting· DBA skills is a plus· Excellent written and verbal communication skills· Customer support experience an asset.
