Job Description:
The primary role of the release manager is to coordinate multiple teams of staff who are responsible for the day-to-day operations and development, handling internal customer problems and requests, and oversee the successful deployment of release code into the production environment.
Ensures volume of work produced meets standards/goals ensuring service levels are met and exceeding customer standards. Promotes highest level of quality in all technology releases and is the single point of contact for approved releases / changes within the IT department.


Responsibilities:
-Create and manage cross-workstream release/deployment schedule and dependencies
-Work with other IT and CBAM workstream Project Managers
-Create and manage detailed deployment plans, schedules, timelines and milestones
-Follow deployment processes/procedures and incorporate into overall plan;
-Use deployment/release methodologies and educate other workstream project managers
-Integrate deployment schedule/dependencies with the overall Program
-Manage the release design and deployment within schedule/budget
-Single point of contact for deployment status / progress / approach
-Report progress to IT and CBAM Program Manager. Manage issues, risks, schedule, milestones and change
-Maintain schedules, milestone definitions, exit criteria
-Report on project status and metrics
-Coordinate live site and sustained engineering responses, triage, tracking
-Keep on top of key partner dependencies and their schedules
-Maintain communication with partners
-Help manage security process, reporting, status


Education:
College degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline. Other degrees will be considered with appropriate background and experience. Equivalent and work experience may be substituted in lieu of education as determined by management on a case by case basis.


Certification:
ITIL preferred and PMP certification required


Experience:
-Four or more years directly related experience in IT support.
-3 years experience in Release, Configuration, and Change Management process
-Software Quality Control experience preferred
-Experience with Test Plans, including automation
-Understands importance of accuracy and responsiveness with a strong sense of urgency.
