Primary Responsibilities:
The Senior Analyst/Modeler position is primarily responsible for working as a member of a Core Project Team (CPT) as a technical team member in support of availability and sustainment requirements forecasting for United States Marine Corp systems and programs. The CPT operates out of Austin, Texas, therefore travel between Stafford, VA and Austin, Texas will be required early in the job in order to obtain proper training and preparation.
Essential Responsibilities:
• Performs in consulting and project assignments, assuming a client interface role and a technical team liaison to the client.
o Attending client on site meetings and working sessions
o Identification of analysis needs
o Collection of client data as defined by technical team
o Participation with CPT on technical tasks to include;
• Conducting data cleaning and analysis
• Availability modeling and simulation
• Constructing, testing, and insuring QA/QC for a model
• Analyzing model results
o Writing interim and final reports from the modeling effort
o Preparing and presenting interim and final briefings to the customer
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
• Minimum of a B.S. in Math, Physics, Operations Research/Industrial Engineering
• Minimum of 5 years working experience within the fields of RAM engineering/analysis, logistics engineering, and/or modeling and simulation.
• Strong skills in data collection and analysis
• Working knowledge of databases such as Access or SQL
• Strong skills in customer relationship management and consulting
• U.S. Citizenship required
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in USMC.
• Statistical Software (eg. JMP, Minitab, Weibull ++)
• Construction of reliability based systems simulation models
• Experience with discrete event simulation
