Software Configuration and Release Analyst
Location: Baton Rouge, LA
Duration: 6+ months
Job Description:
1. Adheres to source code control policy and standard operating procedures
2. Executes/ensures the backups of source code for all proprietary technology
3. Executes application compiles/builds for all proprietary technology
4. Participates in software release and deployments for all proprietary technology
5. Creates and maintains configuration models and configuration management databases
6. Adheres to Lab policy and standard operating procedures
7. Adheres to release and deployment policy and standard operating procedures
8. Manage all defect tracking software systems
9. Serve as a backup for the Configuration and Release team members
10. Continually analyze and prepare proposals for procedure improvements as related to source code management, application builds, test/development lab management, and release and deployment management
11. Assist with special projects as assigned or required
12. Serve as a backup for the Configuration and Release team members

Qualifications
1. 6+ years of Configuration and Release Analyst experience plus must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science.
2. 6+ years in object oriented programming environments and formal education in object oriented programming (Visual Basic, C#, C++, Dot Net, etc.)
3. 6+ years of experience with source code compiles, application builds, and deployment
4. 6+ years of experience with source code management, branching, merging, and versioning,
a. 6+ years of experience with Visual Source Safe
b. 2+ years with TFS (Microsoft Visual Studio Team Foundation Server). Most of code resides in Microsoft TFS so this is important.
5. 5+ years of experience with configuring IIS/WCF services.
6. 5+ years of experience with T-SQL and Microsoft SQL server 2000/2005 objects.
7. 3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server configuration.
8. Lead experience is highly preferred
9. 3+ years of experience with VM Ware Lab manager is preferred
10. 3+ years of working with ITIL is preferred.
11. Very strong communication: Verbal and Written is essential -- does not need to be US Citizen but 10 of 10 on communication and comprehension.
12. Well verse in the Software development life cycle (design, code, source control, quality assurance, and deployment)
