We are currently looking for a Junior DBA / Analyst with a solid understanding of software development lifecycle to join our team in Ballwin, MO.
Junior DBA / Analyst
Summary:
The Junior DBA/Analyst will be responsible for supporting system functionality and development. They will also import data from various sources, provide updates to databases and other documents; tests, and implements physical database updates. In this role, the qualified candidate will provide technical support to team members, troubleshoot problems, work as an integral part of the team working toward deliverables for our clients in a timely and accurate manner.
Responsibilities:
• Importing refreshed data, mining data for results and creation of executive level reporting.
• Work with cross-functional teams to successfully interact and assist with Project deliverables.
• Ability to estimate time to accomplish project -- while working with technical and non-technical clients and associates.
• Analysis of data to assist in marketing efforts across channels.
• Evaluate Client requirements and attend specification meeting with project team to determine scope and limitations of project.
• Excellent Oral/Written Communication skills
Qualifications:
• Associate's degree (A. A.)
• 2+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience with [Microsoft Office products, Access, SQL-Server] software.
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle including Design, Development, Testing.
• Hands-on experience with database software such as SQL-Server, MS Access.
• Strong knowledge of data normalization, integration of relational data from multiple sources including some legacy sources.
• Data Analytics experience desired, with an adaptable commitment to the completion and success of client based projects.
• Experience desired working in a team environment, adapting to changing priorities and working with team members; must be successful at handling responsibilities such as importing data on a recurring basis, mining the relational data to answer business related questions and exporting the results to use as a basis for executive reporting and compliance to best practices & standards
• Knowledgeable in design and development of databases and relational structures and working with normalized data, utilizing Access, Excel, Crystal Reports for Report Writing and SQL Server.
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
• Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
• Microsoft Programming Certifications a plus.
