"The individuals in this position will code, test, debug and retest as needed to produce high quality programs. They must be able to plan and execute their work to meet project deadlines. The Intermediate Application Developer must apply a broad knowledge of various technical functions to help assess possible organizational impacts that could result from a project. The IAD must understand and comply with standard procedures and development guidelines. The IAD shares responsibility with other team members to ensure on-time delivery of a quality and effective product. Responsibilities Provide programming expertise, usually as a member of a project team, in the development of business applications Code, test, debug, and document programs per design specifications, documentation including flowcharts, ERDs, diagrams, data dictionaries, and pseudo code as appropriate Readily accept and grow through coaching by project technical lead Develop code that complies with all architectural and coding standards Perform development work in a manner that is consistent with development methodologies, standards, and practices Build and test application according to approved design; participate in identification of test cases Participate in code reviews to ensure compliance with design specifications and with technical standards Report time and progress as requested/scheduled by technical lead and/or project manager Qualifications Strong technical knowledge, with hands-on experience in development activities and working in a team environment Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex concepts in both technical and non-technical terms Ability to consistently and accurately follow instructions Strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction Be both self-disciplined and self-motivated Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills Knowledge of systems/software development life cycle (SDLC) Ability to effectively and efficiently manage work and maintain focus on assigned tasks.
