Description:
The Database Administrator, Senior is responsible for maintaining production systems to insure availability to customers. Individuals in this position are responsible for the data administration and management of relational systems in a distributed computing environment. This position requires in-depth knowledge of data-flow diagramming and logical data modeling practices, performance tuning and application maintenance. Experience with security, systems analysis tools and data interfaces/conversions is preferred along with ability to define and implement procedures and standards. Individuals must have significant experience in network and computer systems operations, preferably with a high-availability, customer served environment.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related field required. Relevant certifications preferred. 7+ years experience in supporting production database platforms (Oracle, SQL Server) in distributed computing environment. 5+ years experience supporting Microsoft SQL in high transaction applications. 3+ years experience in Microsoft NT/2000 environments. 3+ years experience in Unix system environments. Strong written and verbal communications skills.
