DESCRIPTION
A global multi-channel retailer seeks an experienced Interactive Designer with the experience, creative vision and tactical knowledge to support online retail and branding efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Develop layouts and images for Ecommerce consumer and business websites, as well as other internal and external online applications
Translate defined objectives and internal/external feedback into intuitive, creative and engaging interactive designs and user experiences
Provide input and concepts for future creative direction of the Website and other online properties
Coordinate updates to existing site content and Ecommerce catalogs
Perform research related to new design tools and recommendations for new features and/or software
Provide interactive design support to customers as necessary
QUALIFICATIONS
* Capable of Maintaining a Retail Website Business 2 Customer (B2C) along with Design and Programming Tweaking as needed
* Strong understanding of *best practice* web design principles including accessibility and online retail sales processes
* Advanced knowledge of web design software including but not limited to: Adobe Creative Suite, Flash, and Macromedia Suite
* Strong knowledge of action script, HTML, JavaScript and CSS and familiarity with CMS systems
* Excellent oral and written communications
* Understanding of technical issues related to retail site design
* Ability to work independently and with other members of cross-functional teams
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
3-4 years of interactive design experience
Strong portfolio of proven work experience and a demonstrated understanding of interactive and general design principles
Undergraduate degree in design, marketing or Ecommerce
