Instructional Designer - A1108V-1
Pittsburgh, PA.
6-month contract
Responsibilities:
Work directly with internal and external customers to determine training needs and identify performance gaps.
Engage subject matter experts (SMEs) to gather skills and knowledge requirements for effective training.Continuously conduct analysis to determine performance barriers and training needs.
Design effective, best-in-class training programs based on desired outcomes.
Partner with internal and external customers to develop effective training and determine delivery methods.
Consistently build effective training for multiple outputs in a blended-learning environment.
Work directly with the Delivery Team to support implementation and ensure effective training.
Continuously evaluate training using an established assessment model to ensure effectiveness and improvement.
Skills:
Experience in design and development for a variety of delivery vehicles, including web-based, CBT, classroom, self-paced, and blended learning.
Strong awareness of adult learning theories as related to development and design process.
Knowledge of sound Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodology.
Ability to recommend new and enhanced curriculum in order to improve existing programs and courses.
Ability to work in a team-based environment with collaborative goals.
Ongoing awareness of current in ISD innovations and improvements in leadership, organization and learning development systems, strategies, tools and processes.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor degree in instructional design, educational technology, or equivalent certification and/or experience preferred.
2 or more years of formal training experience required.
Three or more years of curriculum design and development required.
Proficiency with Windows based PCs, including operational knowledge of MS suite of software applications (Word, Excel, Visio, Project, and PowerPoint).
Experience with Adobe Illustrator, In Design and Photoshop as well as Articulate and Captivate software preferred.
Exceptional oral and written communication skills required.
Group facilitation skills required
Experience in e-learning development preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple and changing priorities.
