Job Details
Position is to support the C&A efforts of the ITEMS Program. The following skills and knowledge are required: Extensive knowledge of DCID 6/3 and the NISCAP Certification and Accreditation process is a must. A thorough understanding of the security requirements necessary to support the various DCID Protection Levels (PL2, PL3, PL4) is necessary to support the program. Individuals also need to have extensive knowledge of computer and network protocols and services and their representation to the client server architecture and computer-computer communications. An understanding of computer or network based security tools, technologies and techniques is needed to support accreditation requirements. Experience in taking systems through the C&A processes at a PL2 and/or PL3 required. Strong written and oral communications skills required. Possession of CISSP certification strongly desired.

Preferred Experience:
This individual must have at least a Bachelor degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or Engineering and at least 5 years experience with Information Assurance and Information/Network Security.

Work expectations:
To work with other members of the security engineering team, developers, engineers, and customers C&A representatives in a professional manner in the identification and development of the security requirements. Individual will be expected to assist in the collection and assembly of security related documentation and write any necessary security documentation to support the successful Certification and Accreditation of the Global EMS solution set.

Occassional work at different locations within the Washington Metro Area and some CONUS travel required. Some OCONUS travel may be required.

Candidate must posess a current TS/SCI clearance with Full Scope polygraph.
