Responsibilities:
Work within the Infrastructure team and be responsible for designing, building and maintaining HP-UX Operating System in Production, QA, Development and Testing environments.
Work independently and provide in-depth technical expertise on medium to complex system projects and mentoring other team members.
The main function will be maintaining a HP-UX infrastructure, handling all aspects of support including the installation, upgrade, security and maintenance of both hardware and operating system and act as a technical resource and advisor for other members of the IT team.
Must Haves:
* 5+ yrs. experience in an HP-UNIX high volume OLTP environment using
o 3 tier architecture
o Oracle database servers
o Large scale web based eCommerce systems
o 7 x 24 High availability, production environment
* Experience in Disaster Recovery planning and execution.
* Security, platform and o/s hardening, shell scripting.
* Familiar with internal and external audits, Threat and Risk Assessment.
* Experience in planning, scheduling, and executing upgrades and maintenance for data center hardware and software

* HPUX Virtualization
* VPAR,NPAR
* Integrity VM
* Application isolation on a HP9000, and Tuxedo
* Experience planning and implementing File Systems and familiarity with SANS (HP EVA 8100)
* Other skills: Data Protector, Service Guard, data replication (Fiber Channel over IP), SSH, SSL, NTP, SMTP,
