My client's Trading Systems team has an opening for a senior Java/J2ee application developer with project management experience. This outstanding team develops and supports mission critical business line applications for the firm, which include systems for settlement of wholesale banking payments and securities transfers.
The group is innovative and cutting edge, this opportunity offers the right individual the chance to work with the Chief Architect to introduce new tools/technology and work on financial systems that support the execution of transactions for banks throughout the world.
You will manage projects using standard project management methodologies such as Cmmi/RUP and conduct business design for applications in collaboration with the System Architect and Business users. In addition, you will assist in translating business design into software specifications to developers and develop application components based on software specifications, while providing support of application deployment and maintenance.
The technical environment itself employs a Unified Process methodology, Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) compatible designs, sophisticated Model Driven Architecture based code generation, and extensive automation for testing and deployment.
Job Requirements
* Strong Object-Oriented Analysis and Design skills and working knowledge of J2EE architecture;
* Development experience with an eclipse based IDE such as IBM RAD/RSA and deployment experience within Websphere or other equivalent J2EE platforms;
* The technical environment also consists of Oracle 10G on the backend, so you should have some exposure;
* Experience managing and mentoring junior staff
* Experience with MQ/JMS is a plus
