We are a Chicago-based internet marketing and website development firm seeking a skilled Web Developer/Programmer. This is an on-site position, no telecommuters or off-shore candidates, please.
The ideal candidate not only has an expertise in building websites, but also possesses leadership qualities and goes beyond building the website to managing the project, in the technical sense, to ensure a quality product.
The candidate we are seeking must be detail-oriented, have excellent communication and teamwork skills, and have the ability to work with clients, solve problems, as well as be self-motivated with a positive attitude.
Skills required:
• Proficient in programming websites using PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
• Solid experience building eCommerce sites with ZenCart and OSCommerce
• Ability to set realistic goals, manage projects and time and multi-task
• Ability to research to find creative ways to solve complex programming requests
• Assist in the planning of new websites and /or redesigned sites through client meetings and brainstorming with the team
• Execute website comps based on client's specifications
• Consistently track hours in project management system
• Update existing websites with new graphics and content
• Create small flash files and design new website graphics
Requirements:
• 3+ years in web production
• Excellent Photoshop skills. Flash skills a plus
• Work well in a team or individual environment
• Entrepreneurial spirit
• Innovative and self-motivated
• Desire to help grow our business and attract new clients
Salary is based on experience.
