Job Title:	QA/Tester

Test Execution:

• Execute test scripts within allocated timeframes

• Execute tests and ensure results achieve documented goals and objectives

• Manage re-tests

• Coordinate test activities if required

• Maintain test results and scripts

• Log/manage variances

• Provide daily reporting on the success of testing

• Provide UAT support and work with business users as required

• Contribute to the Test Completion Report

Other Activities:

• Create/improve process and testing documentation

• Recommend testing improvements


Requirements:

• Extensive knowledge of testing methodology

• Analytical skills (e.g., capable of creating testing deliverables from designs and business requirements)

• Excellent documentation skills (e.g., tracking variances, creating scripts, plans, etc.)

• Organizational skills (e.g., capable of meeting realistic time frames for completing assignments and achieving results; capable of operating independently with minimal direction while keeping the test coordinator informed of potential problems)

• Previous testing experience -- understands the purpose of testing and knows how to validate an application

• Ability to manage multiple deadlines during tight timelines

• Interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) to interact with various project personnel including test team members, developers, business analysts, project managers and business partners

• Decisiveness and good judgment required

• Excellent communication skills

• Adhere to testing processes and CIBC testing standards

• Due to nature of project, hours of work may extend beyond regular working hours
