Job Description:

The person in this role will be at the forefront of the new Kodak. The Kodak Software Center of Excellence's (SCE) Applications and Components (A&C) group is seeking a Senior Software Developer who has extensive experience in creating complex and innovative software for consumer photo apps. The ideal candidate should have deep experience architecting and writing desktop software product code for imaging applications. Broad imaging systems knowledge would be a plus. Most recent experience (past five years) should be in writing and delivering consumer software applications. This candidate will be asked to lead others and also develop code, so effective communication, technical and otherwise, is critical to this role.

Detailed Job Requirements:

Image management software architecture and development experience - editors, viewers, image processing algorithm implementation, display buffer management, image compositing/layer management, general image memory buffer management, database management, image metadata structures and management thereof.

General imaging system architecture knowledge.

General imaging technology knowledge - color theory, photography basics, etc. a plus.

C++, object-oriented design and system analysis experience.

Experience with Microsoft Technologies - General (Operating Systems, Protocols, COM, Indexing platforms, file system and memory optimizations, etc) with an emphasis on imaging/photo support introduced in Vista (i.e. WIC, Photo Gallery, IE7/increased security and DVD mastering).

Must be able to demonstrate synthesis from materials in MSDN and other reference sources.

Experience developing and debugging Microsoft .NET Framework and native/managed interoperability.

Microsoft C# experience, including Windows Forms development.

Experience with XML, including experience with namespace-qualified XSLT and XPATH.

Experience with Web Services, Client/Server environments including design of RESTful or SOAP-based services

Knowledge of Flash/Flex and Adobe Apollo a plus.

Windows Presentation Foundation a plus.

Compact framework and/or Silverlight experience is a plus.

Familiarity with optimization and deployment tools is a plus.

Experience with boost.org and other C++ standards a plus.

Education:

B.S. in Computer Science or related area
