We are looking for a hands-on, engineering manager who has managed both manufacturing and facilities for a biomedical device manufacturer in Denver, Colorado.
Title: Manager, Manufacturing Engineering
Location: Denver, Colorado
Compensation: The base salary we are targeting is $80,000 - 95,000. An additional bonus is offered. Solid benefits. Relocation assistance is available.
Required Skills: BS in Engineering with 5+ years hands-on leadership in a production environment. Strong background and knowledge of manufacturing, assembly processes, standards, and procedures is essential including; varied processes, products and volumes where quality and cost are paramount. Knowledge of drafting - modeling and tolerances. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing. Experience with electronic and mechanical assembly involving wiring, cabling, component preparation, PWB stuffing, wave soldering, hand soldering and electronic test.
Pluses: MBA. Knowledge of OSHA, QSR, ISO and-or FDA regulations and compliance.
General: Manage the development, documentation and qualification validation of production equipment - processes. Provide methods and specify equipment that improves cycle time, productivity, quality, and repeatability utilizing Lean techniques & team building skills. Actively participate in the product development process with a focus on design for manufacturability. Plan and coordinate production transfers to - from other manufacturing sites. Provide leadership to the safety committee & ensure the organization's safety policies, practices & procedures are implemented to maintain a safe work environment. Supervise the Maintenance, custodial and manufacturing Engineering staffs. Ensure process & facility related compliance with regulatory agencies, including FDA, ISO, OSHA, etc. Maintain & publish appropriate metrics which establish accountability and define achievement
