We are looking for biomedical engineer with a background in biomaterials and biomechanics for a client in Texas.
Title: Biomedical Engineer
Location: Austin, Texas
Compensation: Base salary open depending on skill and experience level, though we are targeting $70,000 - 110,000. Solid benefits. Relocation assistance is offered.
Required Skills: PhD and-or MS with biomedical industry experience and a knowledge of both biomaterials and biomechanics. Preparation of publications and patents. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Knowledge of... GLP... good pre-clinical practices ... FDA verification and validation guidelines... experimental design... modern biological, molecular, and materials methods... materials synthesis, formulation & development and characterization methods such as microscopy, physical and compositional analysis (HPLC, GPC, FTIR, UV-Vis, etc)... biological performance and interaction assays.
General: Responsible for conducting biomaterials and biomechanical experiments. Make detailed observations, analyze data, and assist in the interpretation of results. Identify and solve elementary problems in experimental designs. Prepare technical summaries and protocols for internal use and collaborate on manuscripts and presentations. Responsible for supporting Innovation, Concept Development, and Product Development projects.
