We are looking for software V&V engineer who has experience with embedded systems for a client in San Antonio.
Title: Software V&V Engineer
Location: San Antonio, Texas
Compensation: Base salary open depending on skill and experience level, though we are targeting $60,000 - 90,000. Solid benefits. Relocation assistance is offered.
Required Skills: Technical bachelor's degree with 2+ years in software quality, test and developing and executing software verification and validation test procedures for embedded systems. Experience in regulated design environments. i.e. MIL STD, NASA, FDA, ISO. Working knowledge of design, development and debugging of embedded systems. C, C++, and LabVIEW.
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be a team player.
Desired: CE, UL, and TUV.
General: Responsible for developing and executing software verification and validation test procedures for safety critical embedded software. Participate in code reviews and audit software documentation against established software processes and work standards. Enter, update and track software defects and defect status. Develop and executes software test procedures (including automated testing). Develop and execute regression tests. Ensure compliance with the Software Development Process and Standard Operating Procedures. Participate in design and code review meetings. Manage product documentation through the Change Order and Release process. Contribute to system level hazard analysis. Provide technical assistance to Manufacturing and Quality Assurance groups throughout the early production builds and launch.
