Join the Java Media Team, part of Sun's core Java engineering group, to bring comprehensive audio and video support to the Java platform, both desktop and mobile. Coordinate with the hardware, codec, and server groups to deliver a complete end-to-end media solution.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
* Experience with Mac Quicktime and Core Audio and Video APIs.
* Expert experience in the media space (video and audio formats, streaming, transport layer, drm etc) is required.
* Expert level experience with Java SE required, including Java 2D apis.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE:
Experience with Java ME and media in constrained devices is a plus. Java Media Framework (JMF) experience is a plus. Experience in design and implementation of consumer client platforms (e.g. Flash, Silverlight, Quicktime).
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 5
MINIMUM LEVEL OF EDUCATION: BS or equivalent experience
FIELD OF STUDY: Computer Science or equivalent
ADDITIONAL COURSE WORK: Media, Graphics, GUI design, OS, performance
