We are currently seeking a talented Lead Technical Architect - Investments for our San Antonio, TX facility.
As a Lead Technical Architect - Investments for USAA, you will fulfill the technical leadership role in providing technology solutions to meet business needs.
Job duties:
- Serves as the lead troubleshooter to diagnose systems technology issues in development and operational environments.
- Leads Project Architects on relevant IT projects to ensure architectural compliance.
- Define and drive the future state of architecture of USAA's business solutions.
- Lead project teams solving complex technical issues, establishing patterns and practices, and setting standards.
- Identity and analyze business requirements of both internal and external clients, work with the development, production and support teams to provide design guidelines and imparts knowledge on technical trends and solutions.
- Identify and communicate risk associated with component or application implementation
Entrance Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years' experience in architecture, design, development and troubleshooting of large, complex Retail Brokerage/Mutual Fund solutions to include J2EE applications, purchased packages, CICS/VSAM/IMS and relational databases.
- In-depth understanding of Order Management Systems.
- In-depth understanding of Retail Brokerage/Mutual Fund business processes and operational best practices.
- Broad industry knowledge of investment products, market practices and securities operations.
- Strong knowledge of investments industry, finance, compliance, risk and regulatory requirements.
- Proven ability to lead change effectively in large, complex environments.
- Excellent interpersonal communications and coordination skills with both business and IT communities. Must be able to communicate effectively and maintain highly effective working relationships with business and IT executive management.
- Experience in vendor management and maintenance of RFI, RFP and SOWs.
Preferred:
- Demonstrated ability to think creatively and deliver innovative technology prototypes to deliver exceptional business value.
- Experience working with company market/fundamental data and portfolio analysis systems.
- Experience with Life Insurance and Annuities.
- Experience with SOA, FIX, Business Process Modeling and Model Driven Design.
- Experience with Oracle, DB2, J2EE.
