Data Warehouse Consultants (www.dwconsultants.com) is seeking an ETL/Data Warehouse Developer for a position in Pittsburgh, PA.
Responsibilities
• Creating integration strategies involving various systems and data sources
• Performing a variety of software development to create new applications and integrate products
• Developing and maintaining data models, metadata repositories, and other systems engineering artifacts spanning the organization
• Designing and implementing data warehouse architectures
• Planning and managing system and data migration efforts
• Reviewing system capabilities, workflows, forms, reports, etc. to determine if requested changes are possible / practical within existing system
• Serving as the primary liaison with vendor technical support to resolve issues
• Tracking key developments in the software market
Skills/Experience
• Expertise in application development using leading technologies, data integration across diverse platforms, data warehouse design and implementation, and software engineering processes and standards.
• Working knowledge of integration techniques including extract, transform, and load (ETL) technologies, web services, application programming interfaces (APIs), and leveraging web portal standards.
• The successful candidate must demonstrate strong knowledge of business processes, ability to synthesize complex data/information, and ability to provide business and technical alternatives to achieve timely, cost effective, and quality solutions.
