Summary:
Administer and maintain the SimplexGrinnell network and voice
infrastructure. Primary responsibility will be creating and implementing
Voice and Data systems software configuration changes. Responsible for
monitoring the operation of the WAN, LAN and branch office phone systems,
trouble shoot level 2&3 problems, capacity plan and ensure SLA's are met.
Responsibilities:
1. Proactively manage the corporate IP Voice Systems, WAN, LAN,
Wireless and VPN networks utilizing management tools and other department
resources.
2. Develop, test and implement IOS software configurations to support
various applications of Network Infrastructure.
3. Develop IP voice system configurations, including routing plans and
provide level 3 support to customers and service desk on IP voice related
troubles.
4. Responsible for the maintenance and support of network hardware
devices across the entire SimplexGrinnell network. (LAN) Adds, Moves,
Changes and Router Maintenance, PBX configurations. Includes making changes
to router switch and PBX configurations to adapt to changing network and
business environments.
5. Provide technical expertise in the troubleshooting of wide area
network outages, act as a liaison between Telco, support vendor, and branch
offices to ensure customer satisfaction.
6. Provide audit statistics and participate in the capacity planning
process.
7. Maintain accurate maps and configurations for all core network and
branch PBX devices and systems.
8. Provide project management, tracking and reporting for all assigned
projects.
9. Participate as a representative for the network group on
cross-functional projects.
10. Support business partners to maintain connections in support of
business relationships and objectives.
11. Understand current Sarbanes Oxley controls as they apply to Network
and Security and follow processes, policies and procedure accordingly
12. Performs other duties as directed.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering,
Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years experience in Information Technology or a
related business area with at least 2 years in Cisco IOS WAN/LAN, IP Voice
Systems, Windows AD, Windows NT and desktop support in a TCP/IP environment.
Knowledge of standard network data /voice hardware and software preferred.
Must have effective written and oral communications skills and the ability
to interface with end-users in a courteous and professional manner.
Special Skills:
Routing and Switching, Firewall, Content Filtering, ACS Radius, Load
balancing, Wireless Networking, VPN Gateways, Network Monitoring and
performance monitoring practices and tools. IP Voice and Voice PBX systems,
configurations and telecom connectivity devise and methods.
Cisco IOS ,Switching- Layer 2&3, VLANS, Routing, RIP, EIGRP, WAN- Frame
Relay, Internet HDLC, ATM, MPLS, SNMP, HTTP, Load balancing, Content
Filtering, IPSEC, WIFI a/b/g, Voice services and IP Voice systems
Knowledge of Network and Voice testing procedures and tools
Salary is in the 80's.
