Description:
The Senior Business Analyst participates in the development of business cases for moving forward with I.T. projects including feasibility studies, process redesign opportunities, and financial analysis. They work with other business owners and end users throughout the organization to understand and document customer requirements and assist with implementation. These requirements are documented in a way that is understandable to the business with the necessary level of detail and clarity for IT. The Senior Business Analyst provides analytical guidance to the project team throughout the project lifecycle. Data analysis, understanding technology, and assisting with the translation into system requirements are important to this role. Also, their subject matter expertise may be required for projects that span functional areas and for resolving complex issues affecting customers.
The Senior Business Analyst may participate in business strategy and planning activities. They will fulfill different roles on IT projects based on the size and complexity of the project. The Sr. Business Analyst may assist with IT Project Management deliverables for midsize projects.
Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Business, Health Care Administration, or Information Systems or equivalent required. 5+ years related experience. Business analysis skills to interview users, improve business processes, prioritize requirements, manage scope, focus on the business case, document business requirements, and provide supporting visual documentation. Expert data analysis skills to strengthen requirements, improve processes, and provide solutions that can be integrated into the environment. Strong technical skills to assist with system analysis while considering the business implications of the technology solution to the business environment. Expert communication (written/verbal) and organizational skills with ability to communicate effectively with various levels of management and also to gain cross functional support for projects.
