Act as an advocate for IT customers. Provide feedback and information to ITS operations, development, and communications staff. Develop and maintain relationships with colleges, campuses and departments, allowing for effective, interactive communications. Proactively represent ITS to campuses, colleges and departments. Help these areas create strategic plans for using IT services and assist in the implementation of these plans. Act as Project Manager on various customer and ITS projects. Coordinate communications between ITS departments and the rest of the University on current and future IT initiatives. Review IT needs and recommend solutions, provide cost analysis on services, and assist in planning for future IT services. This job will be filled as baseline, intermediate, or mid-level, depending upon the successful candidate's education and experience. Minimum educational and work-related experience requirements are: Associate's degree (Bachelor's degree preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Competencies critical to success in this job are: excellent interpersonal skills; excellent organizational skills; proficient communication skills (written and oral); self-motivated; effective working independently as well as within a team environment; broad knowledge of IT technologies and policies. This is a fixed-term appointment funded for one year from date of hire.
