Position Overview
The purpose of this position is to author test documentation, automate the running of those tests, and to conduct performance, functionality, integration, and system testing for the WatchGuard System Manager team.
Duties/Responsibilities
Performs integration testing, release testing, bug verification, and beta support on software projects which may require research and analysis. Conducts unit testing and integration testing for functionality and limits. Assists product developers and product support specialists in reproducing and resolving customer issues. Operates under general supervision; participates in team/individual goal setting; works on problems of complex scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors; exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action; has internal and some external contacts.
Education/Skills/Environment
- MS or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years of QA experience
- 2 years of experience with network and system administration
- Working knowledge of Python or other scripting language
- Working knowledge of network security products and protocols (TCP, UDP, HTTP, SNMP)
- Experience with User Interface test automation tools
- Proficiency with using and administering Windows and Linux
- Proficiency with configuring and operating networking equipment
- Perform moderately complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products.
Working Conditions
Position primarily works in office environment. Sitting for long period of time. Use of computer monitor and keyboard is required.
